It has been ridiculously hot here in Atlanta lately (no surprise there), so our outdoor spaces have been quite neglected lately. I decided to clean up our front porch (with the help of my handy assistant), and get rid of the debris and grime that has built up over the past couple of months. I still have work to do, but I’m off to a great start, and I was happy to put a couple of HomeRight products to good use. (Stay tuned for a giveaway at the end of this post!)
Here’s where we started. I know what you’re thinking, and the answer is yes I was embarrassed to have guests come up to our door with the porch looking like that!
First, I swept the loose debris off of the porch with the HomeRight Deck Washer Broom (not attached to the hose yet).
Then, I recruited an adorable assistant who sprayed the porch with a mixture of mild soapy water and vinegar in the HomeRight Deck Pro Tank Sprayer to clean the brick.
Next, we hooked the HomeRight Deck Washer Broom up to the hose and gave the porch a good scrubbing.
I still need to do something about the moss and scrub the door and windows, but it’s a big improvement so far!
You can also check out how we stained our deck with HomeRight products.
