Corralling Craft Supplies with Delta Ceramcoat & Target

May 23, 2018 By Erin Spain 2 Comments

I love a simple craft project, even though I don’t do them often. Quick and easy is my jam. I recently came up with an easy solution to corral some of my craft supplies in my office, and everything I used for this project came from the same aisle in the same store.

Delta Ceramcoat® Acrylic Paint is now available in the craft aisle at my home away from home, aka Target. Target also sells unfinished wood craft surfaces, so I picked up a wooden crate and a cute geometric pencil holder. I decided to give each of them a quick abstract/diagonal painted design using my Delta Ceramcoat paint, and then I used the crate to store the paints in my mom cave/craft room. The pencil holder stores my brushes and other writing and art utensils.

Project Supplies:

  • Delta Ceramcoat® Acrylic Paint in White
  • Paintbrush
  • Painter’s Tape
  • Wooden Crate from Target craft aisle
  • Geometric Pencil holder from Target craft aisle

This project is SO simple, but sometimes those are the best! Here’s what I did:

Step 1

Tape off a diagonal design on each side of the crate using painter’s tape. I also taped off a diagonal design on the pencil holder.

Step 2

Paint the area below the tape using Delta Ceramcoat in White. (Of course this could be modified to suit your taste by using any color you choose.) Allow to dry. This paint is super rich and provides great coverage. It’s great for base coating, stenciling, or decorative painting, it dries to a matte finish, and it’s made in the USA. It can be used on wood, terra cotta, plaster, and paper mache. It comes in 22 colors, and you can find it in the craft aisle at Target or at Target.com.

Step 3

Peel off the tape, and you’re done! It’s that easy.

I filled the crate with my bottles of paint and put it on my desk, along with the pencil holder.
