Sometimes, especially in the midst of dramatic room makeovers, I love a quick, simple little craft project. Today I am sharing this Easy Metallic Monogram Art. It doesn’t get easier than this, folks!
Here’s what you’ll need:
- A frame (I found a couple of cute ones in the discount bin at Michael’s)
- White cardstock
- A stencil or a computer & printer
- Metallic paint pen or metallic sharpie (whatever color you choose – I went with gold)
Here’s what I did:
First, I simply typed my letter in Microsoft Word (or the generic version I have on my computer) and chose the size and font I wanted. Then, I edited it so that it was just an outline of the letter.
I printed it on cardstock, then used the paper that came inside my frame as a template to trace and cut it out, making sure my letter was centered.
I cut out the part I traced (in my case, it was a circle, but it will be whatever shape your frame is) and then I traced my letter with my gold paint marker (I used Elmer’s, which I found at Walmart) and then colored it in.
Insert it into your cute frame and you’re done!
What easy little projects have you been working on lately?

Hi there! Cute idea! I will do this with my daughter this week. (I love when I have a spare hour or so, and find something cute and creative to do. Just makes me feel like my day is happier. Even if all I do is spray paint a vase!)
