Fall is in the air! We finally enjoyed some cooler temperatures over the weekend here in Atlanta. It was beautiful! Now that it’s feeling less like summer, I’m getting more in the mood for fall crafting. Last week I headed over to a friend’s house for craft night, and I made a new fall wreath for our front door. It’s always fun creating new things, but it’s even better when you can get together with friends and hang out while you create together. For my wreath, I opted to go with a black, white and gold color scheme. I wanted to do something a little bit different than the typical fall colors you usually see this time of year.
I purchased all of my supplies at Jo-Ann’s. I used fat quarter fabric (the little bundles they sell for a couple of bucks each) along with some metallic gold 2-inch ribbon to make the rosettes. I added a few feathers, also from Jo-Ann’s, and then I made a mini-banner using scrapbook paper cut into small pennants. I hot glued them onto thin metallic gold ribbon, and wrote “FALL” with a metallic gold Elmer’s Paint Marker. I thought about incorporating some burlap rosettes too, but haven’t decided yet.
You can see a couple of wreaths that I’ve made in the past here and here.
Have you made any fall crafts lately? Do you have craft nights with your friends too?

Looks great! I really like the gold metallic fabric against the rustic twig wreath. And the “Fall” banner is really cute!

Your fall wreath is so fashionable. I made a diy fashionable headband to my 3months old daughter and those flowers you did were exactly the same with my baby’s headbands hehehe I’ll make a wreath similar to yours if you don’t mind. LOL

Thank you, and go for it! 🙂 I’ve made headbands for my nieces using this type of fabric rosettes too. They’re very versatile and good for lots of different types of projects!
