Life has been crazy lately. We’ve been traveling, followed by the Haven Conference, and now we’re in the midst of “back to school” mania. Today is my oldest son’s first day of Kindergarten and I can hardly believe it! He was so excited to start school. I, on the other hand, cried like a baby after dropping him off this morning. Anyway, I feel like so much has been going on lately that I haven’t had a chance to update you on a lot of things. Today I want to share a fun little flea market furniture find for our office that we scored while visiting my family in Indiana last month.
I’ve mentioned before that my husband, Chris, is really into mid-century modern design, so he was really excited when we found this chair for $17.00 at a flea market. It is a vintage mid-century piece in great condition with the original upholstery. I will probably be re-covering the fuzzy blue retro fabric eventually. For now it fits in nicely in my husband’s office and the walnut wood matches his desk perfectly.
I’m so glad we found this chair, because we found one almost identical to it for the boys’ bedroom makeover and Chris kept threatening to steal it for his office because he loved it so much. He would stare longingly at it, hoping and wishing for one of his very own. Ha, ok, maybe that’s a little dramatic, but he seriously loved the chair.
Now, I just need to find the perfect fabric for the new chair. Add that to my never ending project list!
