You guys, we are so close to having the nursery done! All I have left to do is hang art and make/hang curtains. Considering where we started, we’ve come a long way. We recently got a new piece of furniture for the room and I am so excited about it! Check out the world’s most comfy (and pretty) nursery glider: The Custom Habersham upholstered glider from Home Decorator’s Collection.
We still have our old glider from when the boys were babies, and although it’s a little worn and could use a good cleaning, we will use that one in our bedroom as a backup. I chose this new glider because I wanted something stylish, comfortable, and something that could transition from being a nursery piece to something we can use in another area of our home later on. I ordered this one in the “Zanzibar Dove” color — a really pretty, neutral gray. It’s part of Home Decorators Collection’s new baby and children’s line called Spencer & Gracie.
There are a few reasons I love this glider. First of all, I love that it doesn’t look like a typical nursery glider. It’s a piece of furniture we can use even after the baby phase is over, so it’s a great investment. It fits in with our home’s decor and we can put it in a living space without it screaming, “Hey! I’m a nursery glider!” I also love the texture of this particular fabric and the fact that the chair swivels. Oh, and I love that it’s the most comfortable chair ever. When it was delivered to our house, it sat in our entryway for a few hours until Chris came home and carried it upstairs. I sat down in it, and I literally dozed off for a bit right there by the front door. Yes, I was exhausted that day, but it really was just that comfy.
One word of advice if you choose to order this glider — order it early! Each one is custom made (in the USA, by the way!) and takes about 8 weeks to be delivered. It’s well worth the wait though. Also, there are several different fabric options to choose from.
I’m still playing around with rearranging things and finishing everything up, but the finish line is so close!
You can check out past nursery posts here, here, here, here, here, and here. I hope to have the room finished in the next week or so (considering my due date is in 2 weeks and my other two babies were each a few days early!), and I look forward to sharing lots of photos soon.
UPDATE: You can see the finished nursery reveal here.
