A Year in Review: Favorite Blog Posts
I can’t believe that 2015 is coming to an end. Where has the time gone? Is it just me, or did the year fly by? I guess part of the reason it flew by so quickly is that I’ve been busy chasing around 3 little boys who are growing before my eyes, and my little Jonah especially keeps me on my toes. It was a great year, and I always enjoy sharing a year in review of favorite blog posts.
Most Visited Posts of All-Time
Let’s start with your favorite posts, based on my web stats/analytics.
My most popular post of all time continues to be my tutorial for how to paint furniture from a few years ago.
This post went viral, which was a shock because I had just started blogging and didn’t know what on earth I was doing, and didn’t expect anyone to even read it. Even though my photography was atrocious (I’ve since added the pictures seen above), and I was learning the ropes of blogging, I owe a lot of blogging “success” to that post. It’s funny, as a blogger you just never know what’s going to do well and what posts are going to have crickets.
My other most visited posts of all time are:
How to Whitewash a Brick Fireplace
How to Stencil a Rug on the Cheap
Fabric Covered Diaper Box (Storage Solution)
My top 5 most popular post from the past year
Swap it Like it’s Hot: Thrift Store Transformations
Boy Mom Madness Series: Boys Bedroom
And my personal favorites
My trip to the HGTV Dream Home. This goes without saying — it was such a fun experience and definitely a highlight of my year.
Our DIY Kid’s Art Table. My kids loved this project, and I love doing special things for them, so this is definitely one of my favorite projects from the past year.
Our trip to the Blue Ridge Mountains and our beach vacation to Hilton Head Island. I always enjoy sharing our travel experiences, and our annual family vacations have a special place in my heart.
Our dining room makeover. This room was a labor of love and I was so happy to finish it! Since it’s one of the first rooms you see when you enter our home, I really worked hard to make it presentable.
DIY Nursery String Art Tutorial. This was one of my favorite projects for Jonah’s room. I love how easy string art is, but at the same time it can make a big impact.
If you have a favorite post of mine from the past year, I would love to know what it is just so I can have an idea of what types of posts you love seeing the most. I would also love to know what the highlight of your year was! Leave a comment and let me know. Happy New Year!
