If you’ve been keeping score, you know that our entryway has been changed three times now in the past few months. Or is it four? Clearly I’m not a very good scorekeeper. Initially, I gave the space a major facelift by adding a bench and wall hooks. Then Christmastime rolled around and I gave it the holiday treatment as part of a design challenge. Now that the holidays are behind us, I decided to swap out the festive decor with some black and white accents. It’s always fun to create pretty little vignettes around the house that can easily be tweaked or rearranged when I get bored or crave a change.
Here is our little black, white and gold entryway vignette update.
The mirror is the Sole Mirror from Home Decorators Collection.
The cute wooden bowl was a thrift store find a few years ago.
I am in love with Erin Gates’ beautiful book, Elements of Style. As for the other book situated on top of it, it’s just a random book I covered with pretty black and white gift wrap. The paper came from the dollar bin either from Target or Michaels (I think?), can’t remember for sure.
I painted the watercolor feather a few months ago, proving that just about anyone can pretend to be an artist for a day. For those of you who don’t want to give it a try, I offered up the Waterlogue version of it as a free printable.
Do you get bored with your decor too? I guess since I have small children and we spend so much time at home, I have to change my surroundings periodically to keep me sane. Maybe that’s it? Or maybe I just have decorating ADD. It’s probably the latter.
