I usually procrastinate until the last minute, but this year I actually finished putting together my boys’ Easter baskets a little bit early. I headed to Kroger and got everything I needed to put together the perfect “boy-themed” basket. Did you know that Kroger has everything you need to create an Easter basket for anyone on your list? (Teachers, significant others, your kiddos, etc.) It was super convenient to be able to go grocery shopping and pick up everything I needed for Easter at the same time.
My tip for creating the perfect Easter basket is to take into consideration the interests of the recipient. Rather than just throwing in random Easter-themed “stuff” or tons of candy (which of course can be included too!), it’s nice to also include items that reflect their personality.
Here is the Easter basket I put together. (I created two duplicate ones for my boys.):
Of course my boys inherited my sweet tooth, so I had to fill it with plenty of candy. I filled the plastic Easter Eggs with mini chocolate eggs. They absolutely love to draw and create art, so the crayons are perfect for them. We go through plenty of crayons so we can never have enough. They also love superheroes, so I was so excited to find the adorable Spider-Man Easter Eggs.
Being boys, they naturally love anything with wheels that they can zoom around and crash into things, so the Matchbox cars were a nice addition too. Oh, and no Easter basket is complete without a chocolate bunny, right? M&Ms are also a favorite so I included a tin full of those.
I was pleasantly surprised at the gift selection at Kroger — they really do have something for everyone.
