There are a few things around the house that have been in desperate need of attention, so I recently decided to tackle a couple of them and give them a good cleaning. One of them was our grill and another was our oven grates, both of which are a pain to clean which is why I had been putting it off for so long. I used my new Dremel Versa Power Cleaner to scrub everything clean, and wow! This thing is a must-have.
The Dremel Versa is a power scrubber that easily tackles grease and grime. It’s rechargeable, cordless, extremely portable, and can be used indoors or outdoors. It’s waterproof which means you can still clean with your favorite cleaning solutions, and it comes with accessories which allow you to clean a variety of surfaces around your home, including sinks, glass shower doors, microwaves, grout lines, bathroom hardware, drains, glass stove tops, oven windows, pots and pains, shoes, grills, vinyl furniture, etc. It’s incredibly versatile, which I love! It comes with a spin brush and pads to cut through all sorts of gunk and grime, like mold, mildew, grease, soap scum, and lime build up, for example.
I started with the grill, and quickly realized our grates are rusted to the point of needing replaced, so I didn’t even bother with those. But I did clean the inside of the lid just to see how powerful this power cleaner is, and WOW! I used the brush attachment and just dish soap and warm water.

It was as shiny as a mirror! So crazy.
Then I moved on to our oven grates which desperately needed to be scrubbed clean. Again, I just used dish soap and warm water, and the Dremel Versa cleaned them quickly. I also really like that it’s compact in size, lightweight, and easy to grip. It makes cleaning with it very easy. Plus this power cleaner saves a ton of time!
Look at how gross our oven grates were! So disgusting (and embarrassing).
I had better luck with the scrubbing pads than the brush attachment for this particular job.
Check out the clean one next to the one that hadn’t been scrubbed yet. It was like night and day!
I can think of so many ways to use this, and it’s definitely a handy little tool to have around. I would highly recommend it for any household cleaning arsenal. I can’t even believe how quickly I was able to get our oven grates clean compared to scrubbing them by hand without a power cleaner. Never will I do that again!
I’ve used a variety of cleaning methods on our oven grates in the past and I can truly say this was the quickest and easiest. I’ve steamed them, scrubbed them by hand with several different products, but when I used the Dremel Versa, this thing just cut right through the grease and grime within a few minutes.
