Ok, I know that it’s almost winter and that some of you have snow where you are. Please don’t hate me because it’s been 60 degrees here recently — but I’d also like to add a disclaimer that these photos were taken a month ago when it was warmer. You may remember that in late October my husband stained our deck. This inspired us to finally make things “livable” out back and clean things up a bit. We have a small patio beside the deck (which desperately needs to be redone, but that’s a way-in-the-future sort of project). Anyway, the patio was filthy and had been cluttered with junk from the deck.
I was really excited to try out the HomeRight Deck Washer Flow-Through Broom to clean up the patio, and we’ll also be using it to sweep away debris as it falls on our newly stained deck.
Here I am sweeping away some of the dirt and debris — as you can see these photos were taken before baby Jonah came along last month!
The great thing about this is that you can sweep with it, and then you can hook it up to the hose and wash your patio or deck surface as you sweep. The bristles sweep and loosen the dirt while the water jets wash it away.
Since it may be too cold to think about hooking up a broom to a hose and cleaning up the outdoors where you are at the moment, I think this is a great item to keep in mind for holiday gifts. Come spring time, I know we will be using ours a ton.
I love that you can sweep and scrub as you rinse at the same time.
Jake got in on the action too — he thought the broom looked like so much fun! Ok I’ll be honest, he ended up doing most of the work. But only because he wanted to!
Our patio needs some serious weed-killing action, but cleaning the patio surface was a great start. We’ll work on it more when it warms up again.
This broom is also a great tool for deck washing prep before staining, and would be great for porches and driveways too.
I’ve used several HomeRight products and I’ve been happy with all of them. Be sure to connect with them on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube, and Instagram.
Do you have an outdoor area that needs cleaned up? (Or will need cleaned up come springtime?) This deck washer broom would definitely do the trick!
