I love coming up with creative ways to craft with Duck Brand® Tape, and now that they have a variety of Duck Brand Craft Tapes available, there are so many fun possibilities! I used their Glitter Crafting Tape to create DIY Glitter Striped Candlesticks. I thought these would be a fun little addition to a centerpiece or tablescape for a party. Who doesn’t love a little bit of bling anyway?
For this project, I used the silver Glitter Crafting Tape, but it also comes in pink, aqua, and red. I grabbed 3 inexpensive white candlesticks at the grocery store, and used some candlestick holders I’ve accumulated from thrift stores over the years.
First, cut a strip of tape long enough to wrap around your candlestick.
It was wider than I wanted my stripes to be, so I cut it in half lengthwise to form about a one-inch wide strip.
I started at the bottom of the candlestick, winding my tape around and trimming the excess in the back. Try to make sure your seams are all on one side.
I spaced each stripe about an inch apart.
That’s all! This is a super quick and easy project (which I love). Sometimes the simplest projects make the biggest impact anyway.
There are so many fun ways you could use this tape. You could do this to any size candle, or use this tape to personalize greeting cards or invitations, add some sparkle around some jars for craft storage, or wrap it around the plug of your phone charger to help identify it as yours, just to name a few ideas.
Not only does Duck Brand® have Glitter Crafting Tape, but they also have Fabric Crafting Tapes, Prism Crafting Tapes, and Washi Crafting Tapes.
