Something I’ve had a lot of fun playing around with lately is graphic design. I’m a PhotoShop junkie, and recently I whipped up a fun little design for DIY party invitations. This is just a mock-up I’m sharing with you today (I don’t really live at 123 Elm Street, FYI), but I wanted to show you how easy it is to do this. Using a free graphic background from GraphicStock, I was able to create this invitation in a matter of minutes. I took advantage of their free 7-day trial and was able to choose from thousands of graphics for my project.
I created this invitation in Photoshop, but you can easily use a free online program like PicMonkey to do the exact same thing. I used the blackboard graphic background downloaded for free from GraphicStock.
Here is the graphic I downloaded and started with:
I opened it in Photoshop, Then, I played around with fonts and placement until I found a combo I liked. I added my text, edited fonts and sizes, saved my file, and called it a day. It was that easy. I designed this with the intention of emailing it, but you could certainly do the same thing and have them printed if you’d prefer.
GraphicStock is a subscription-based stock media site with a library of over 250,000 royalty-free graphics, icons and vectors, and the possibilities are endless.
