As many of you already know, this week I am attending the Haven Conference here in Atlanta. For you non-bloggers who may not know what that is, here’s how I explained it to my husband: It’s basically the equivalent of a Star Wars convention for bloggers, but less nerdy and without the costumes. (No offense, nerdy is the new cool.) This is an opportunity for all of us Home/DIY bloggers to get together and meet our bloggy friends from all over the country that we feel like we already know, network with eachother and with brands, and learn all kinds of fun things in all of the fabulous sessions being offered. I am so excited about it!
You can find out more about the conference here. There are seminars on all things blog and DIY-related, including painting/staining; carpentry; upholstering; power tools; decor; design; photography; photo styling; PR; advertising; turning blogging into a business; growing a blog; and thrifting.
Some of my very favorite bloggers are attending, and several of them are speaking and/or teaching some of the sessions.
For example, John and Sherry from Young House Love (one of my new faves) were the keynote speakers. (They did an awesome job!)

I was really looking forward to meeting Shaunna from Perfectly Imperfect, as she was supposed to be teaching a painting session and photo styling, but unfortunately she was sick and could not attend. Hope you feel better soon, Shauna! I’ve mentioned in the past that hers is one of my favorite blogs and I even purchased her e-book on furniture painting (and highly recommend it!)

Another favorite (and one of the organizers of the conference) is Kate from Centsational Girl.

And I don’t think there are any bloggers and/or painted furniture lovers who haven’t been looking forward to meeting Marian, aka Miss Mustard Seed. I was able to attend her advanced painting session today and loved it!

These are just a few of the many awesome bloggers teaching sessions and/or speaking. This post would be a mile long if I listed all of them, but they are all great and have been doing a wonderful job! I’ve had a wonderful time meeting my fellow bloggers and learning all sorts of great things.
And I just have to give a big shout-out and thank you to all of the Haven organizers: Rhoda, Kristin, Beth, Chris, Kate, Kristi, Marian, Sarah, and Tracy. I know they have worked hard to put this together and I am so thankful to have this experience (and I’m extra thankful that they chose to have it in Atlanta!).
I cannot wait to share my entire experience with you! This is the first conference I’ve ever attended, so I am really looking forward to learning so much about this whole new world I’ve become a part of this year.
Which sessions are you most looking forward to hearing about? Maybe you can help me narrow down which ones to attend!
It was nice to meet you at Haven! I love your blog and know I will enjoy following it! See you tomorrow!
Thank you so much Betsy! It was a pleasure meeting you as well.

Thank you Angie! It was great meeting you too, and I’d love to get together sometime! I also think it would be really fun to do an Atlanta-area (or Southeast in general) blogger meetup at some point. Keep in touch!
