It’s hard to believe that it’s already time to start thinking about holiday decorating. This year has flown by! I recently put together a holiday centerpiece for our dining room table using a combination of fresh greenery and some items I picked up from Kirkland’s.

I like simple decor that’s easy to put together and isn’t too complicated, and I wanted to go with a somewhat neutral look for this room. I tried a few slightly different combinations and just sort of played around with different looks. I started with a long wooden tray, and then filled it with greenery as well as some of the Kirkland’s goodies. I love the idea of adding holiday decor to our dining table since it has sort of become the heart of our home. I built the table and benches, and now our boys congregate around it daily after school to work on their homework. It’s sort of a family hangout spot, so I always like to decorate it for each holiday.
I snagged some Magnolia leaves and sprigs of holly from our yard (because bonus: they are free!). I played around and layered all of the greenery and items from Kirkland’s. Super easy. I tried a few different combinations too. I love that Kirkland’s has such a great variety of holiday items to choose from, and you can mix and match them and create your own holiday decor.
I also arranged some large gold ball ornaments on top of some glittery sprigs of greenery.
Here’s a list of the specific items I used from Kirkland’s to create these holiday centerpieces:
- Rose and Champagne Glitter Ball Ornament
- White Snowball Berry Spray
- Frosted Green Pine Spray (currently sold out online)
- Snowy Pine Cone Bush
- Rustic Wood Runner Tray
- Glitter Antler Ornament
I also love that the wooden tray can be repurposed and used year round. It’s a really nice size and it would be fun to use it but change up the decor for each season or holiday. I’m considering painting it just to give it a little bit of a contrast against the wood table.
