I know we all have so many people on our holiday gift list this year, but today I want to talk about a gift basket I put together for a very special person in my life. I think this idea would work great for any hard working mom, friend, sister, or woman in your life. I think we could all use a “spa day,” right? But we don’t always have the time or money to actually go to the spa. This spa gift basket I put together is the perfect way to have a spa day at home, anytime it’s needed. (Like, every night maybe? Or maybe that’s just me.)
I put this gift basket together for my sister. She’s a busy mom of two, and this year she re-entered the work force as a middle school teacher. Being a mom is hard. I would imagine that being a teacher and a mom is even harder. I wanted to do something special for her, since she definitely deserves to be pampered, and I’m sure she needs some time to relax when she can.
I hand picked some amazing products from Cost Plus World Market to include in the gift basket. You can find gifts for just about anyone there. The selection is amazing and I always find myself wanting to buy the whole store, so if you’re looking for somewhere to do your holiday shopping, definitely check them out.
I included some “spa” essentials, like bubble bath, bath salts, and lotion, along with some fluffy white towels. I rolled the towels and placed those in the basket first, and then laid the spa items on top. Since this is a holiday gift, I tied some pretty red chevron ribbon around it to give it a festive look. I used my hot glue gun to make the bow.
Here are the specific products I included:
- Parfumerie Bubble Bath
- Jasmine Ginger Sea Salt Bath Crystals
- Sisal Cotton Sponge
- Bath Back Brush
- 2 White Chevron Spa Hand Towels
- 2 White Chevron Spa Bath Towels
- Bird and Bee Rosewater Lotion
- Natural Hyacinth Rectangular Molly Basket
The hyacinth basket is beautiful and can be used to store all kinds of things. I always love giving gift baskets since I know as a mom I can always use more storage bins and baskets around the house, and I assume the same is true for other moms.
Cost Plus World Market has plenty of gift baskets already put together too, so if you’d rather not put your own basket together, they make it easy for you. They also have an awesome selection of “gifts for her,” so be sure to check those out for inspiration too.

I agree that not a lot of people, especially mothers, have enough to time set aside for a spa day. I know that my wife and mother are always so busy during the holiday season that they often feel overwhelmed and exhausted once it is over. I wish I had thought of giving them this nice spa basket for Christmas. This is definitely what they needed. I’ll will keep this in mind for next year.
