Holiday Home Tour {Part 2}: Colorful Christmas Decorations

December 9, 2016 By Erin Spain 8 Comments

Earlier this week I shared Part 1 of my holiday home tour (including an amazing giveaway!) so be sure to check that out. Today, I’ll show you some more of our home all decked out for Christmas and hopefully inspire you with a few decorating ideas. This tour is all about colorful Christmas decorations, which I had so much fun with this year!

My “mom cave” (aka living room/office) is usually full of pops of color, which I love. And every year at Christmas, I feel like I have to put away my colorful pillows and replace them with more “winter appropriate” substitutes, and it was kind of bumming me out. I decided this year to keep them, and to work with them in to the decor theme. I was craving color, so in this room, that’s what we went with! We have 3 Christmas trees (a colorful one, a traditional one, and a “kid” one), and I decided this one should be as colorful as my beloved pillows.

Loving these colorful Christmas decorations! This Christmas tree decked out in multi-color ball ornaments is gorgeous!

I snagged those beautiful colored ball ornaments on sale at Target. Bonus: they’re shatterproof!

This Sugar Paper gift wrap is so pretty! Love all of the different patterns.

You can find that beautiful gift wrap at Target too here, here, and here.

Seriously obsessed with this ombré ornament wreath! And the card catalog and vintage gumball machine are gorgeous too.

I shared this gorgeous ornament wreath earlier this week.

This room is the perfect of example of how to incorporate colorful Christmas decorations into your home for the holidays!

I always grab fresh boxwood wreaths at Trader Joe’s early in the season. That deer pillow came from At Home Store. The glittery garland is from Home Decorators Collection. And I will forever love the Lakewood Sofa we have in this room. I made the colorful pillows but you can also find them on Etsy.

This colorful Christmas tree is perfection!

In the dining room, I displayed our Willow Tree nativity set—a gift from my in-laws. It’s so classic and beautiful. (P.S. After the holidays I’ll be sharing all the details about our new dining table that I built.)

The Willow Tree nativity set is the perfect touch of classic holiday decor.

I’ll share more of our entryway next week, but I also buy fresh garland from Trader Joe’s each season. I love to wrap our banister with it and add some battery powered LED lights.

Real garland plus LED string lights = so pretty!
