Our Old House:
We moved out of this house last year after living here for 2 years. The home was a split level, so the layout was somewhat unique (and/or confusing to explain).
Here is the home tour!
Here is one of my favorite features of the home, the big Southern-style Front Porch.
Come on in! This is our entryway. If you go straight ahead, you will pass the stairs (to the left) and walk through the butler’s pantry into the kitchen. If you go right when you enter the front door, you’re in our living room/office.
Here’s the butler’s pantry area and a teeny bit of our kitchen. As you can see, my boys like to decorate the refrigerator!
Here’s the kitchen. Luckily it was renovated right before we moved in. The kitchen leads into the dining room, which then leads into the living/room office. You can go in a big circle which leads you back to the front door.
Here is the dining room! We recently painted the walls (here’s that post), and we plan on continuing the makeover in here soon. Oh, and here’s the post about the buffet table you see in the pic, complete with before/after photos. I also recently added this stenciled rug.
The dining room leads into the Living Room/Office. I painted the walls in here and refinished some furniture. I also added this Quatrefoil Photo Wall Art above the blue dresser and this vintage library cabinet.
If you head back to the kitchen, you can go down a few steps into our main family room. This is where we spent most of our time. It never looked like this. That storage ottoman holds about 500 pounds of toys which were usually strewn around the room, making it look like a tornado hit. (Actually 2 tornadoes hit daily, their names are Aiden and Jake.)
Here it is from another angle. This is where my refinished dresser found a home.
And here’s an updated pic:
From here, you can go downstairs again and end up in our terrace level basement play room. We didn’t do much down here.
Ok, if you head back upstairs to the kitchen, you can go upstairs again to the upper level where the bedrooms are.
Here are a few pics of my Boys’ Bedroom. I gave this room a makeover and converted it from my youngest son’s nursery to a shared “big boy room” for both boys.
Here is the Master Bedroom.
Here is one thing we will miss about this house. The back yard! There was a former pool house back there where we loved to entertain. The pool was filled in before we moved in, so it was basically just an extra room that happens to be detached from the house.
Please ignore my son’s birthday party aftermath. These are the only interior pics I have of the pool house.
