This is another fun, easy project, and I’m selling these too!
These are easy to make. Here are the materials you will need: a wooden letter (any size will do), scrapbook paper, Mod Podge, sandpaper, sponge brush or paint brush, paint (optional, for the edges). All of this stuff can be found at Hobby Lobby, Jo-Ann Fabrics or Michaels.
When I started this project, at first I planned on just painting the letter black and leaving it at that. I sprayed it with primer, then black spray paint. I hated it. You could see every little flaw and the glossy spray paint that I chose just didn’t look good. So my plans changed.
I first placed the letter on top of my scrapbook paper and traced it and cut it out. Then I used a sponge brush to apply a layer of mod podge to the letter, and adhered the scrapbook paper onto it. After that dried, I then brushed another layer of mod podge on top of the scrapbook paper. Later, I sanded the edges. I then stuck it onto my wall with sticky tack. Easy to remove, and doesn’t damage the wall. The letters that I chose are 9 1/2″H x 6″W and are very thin and light-weight. You could also prop these up on a shelf. Another option is to use double-stick tape or even attach a picture hanger and use a nail to hang on the wall.
And here it is:
