First of all, hello! I’ve been MIA for a while, and I’m so happy to be back to blogging. I’ll be sharing a long post soon with all sorts of updates, but for now I am excited to share with you a new partnership and some updates in my mom cave.

I just gave my “mom cave” a quick spring refresh, and I wanted to share the room with you. Kirkland’s has just introduced its new Terrain Lane Collection, and I chose this geometric wood vase, which I absolutely love.
The Terrain Lane Collection features dark-stained wood furniture pieces, woven basket accents, and metallic finishes that add character to any space. I’ve always been a fan of mixing finishes and textures, and this collection definitely allows you to do that in a sophisticated but casual way. The collection also includes lush greens and bright yellows, perfect for spring.
I swapped out my darker green pillows for my colorful springtime pillows. I always crave color and pattern in the spring! And I love the combo of the warmth of the wood table and geometric wooden vase. It helps ground the space and it adds a modern touch. I cut a few sprigs from my front yard to fill it with (because, free!) and it instantly made the room feel refreshed a bit after the dreary winter. The room definitely needed some life.
This room is sort of my oasis in a house full of boys. It’s a little space where I can hide away from the world and do my own thing. I firmly believe that every mom deserves her own “mom cave” to seek refuge from bickering children, piles of laundry that magically multiply overnight, and all of the everyday stresses of motherhood and life. This room may not always (ok, ever) be this clean, but I’m happy to have my own space.
