I just got back from an amazing trip to Hilton Head, SC, where I had the opportunity to tour the HGTV Dream Home designed by my friend Brian Patrick Flynn, and I thought it would be fun to show you around the house. There was so much design inspiration to take in. I brought my cousin along and we made a little girls’ trip out of it.

Since we are talking about travel, I thought it would be the perfect chance to show you a couple of new things from Husky that have come in handy for trips, whether it’s across town or out of state. Basically anytime you need to work from your car, this is a must have. I got this new Husky Pro Mobile Office and it is absolutely perfect for road trips.
Sometimes I need to record voice overs for YouTube videos while I’m traveling, so I was able to load this bag up with my recording equipment, laptop, planner, notebook, and spare camera lens. It’s water-resistant so it can withstand tough conditions, and it has lockable zippers for theft prevention. It’s designed to be belted into your passenger seat so it works great if you have to move from location to location. It also has a molded lid with a raised edge which prevents things from rolling off. I feel like this would’ve been the perfect thing for me to take to Jake’s soccer practices and work from my car while keeping an eye on the field from the parking lot. I could’ve been so much more productive!
I also got this Husky plastic modular tool box system which is perfect for transporting fragile items like camera lenses and recording equipment, or small tools. It is watertight and dust-proof, and its pick and pull foam insert is easily customizable.
Ok, now that you know how I stay organized and get work done on the go, let’s take a look at some more stunning images of this dream home. My favorite room in the house was the master bathroom. That ginormous shower was so dreamy! And the tub and tile were amazing too. You can’t see it in this photo, but there were even more shower heads on the ceiling!
Those brass fixtures and faucets were absolutely beautiful.
If you need me, I’ll just be here lounging in the tub with a cocktail.
The master bedroom was gorgeous, and I loved the wooden sculptural art hanging above the bed and the idea of using a collection of driftwood as wall art.
I also loved this beautiful and serene coastal themed bedroom. Blue is my favorite color, so I was naturally drawn to this space. It just felt so peaceful and calming.
That wooden fish scale art was made using a CNC machine and it was the perfect statement piece for above the fireplace. It also had my wheels turning on ways I could make something similar. I don’t own a CNC machine (yet) but I could probably come up with a way to do something inspired by this piece.
I found myself imagining ways to recreate all of the little pieces of art and decor that I saw, or putting my own design spin on them and making something similar. I was very inspired!
Here I am with my friend Brian, the designer.
