Fall is just around the corner and I am definitely ready to say goodbye to summer! (Georgia summer heat + pregnancy do not mix well for me.) I thought it would be nice to get our outdoor space under control before the new season starts by doing some organizing and cleaning up, and luckily I had some help from Rubbermaid. I headed to The Home Depot and purchased the Rubbermaid Roughneck 18 gallon storage tote and the 32 gallon outdoor trash can.
We have large outdoor garbage cans required by our city’s waste management department, but they are very heavy and hard to maneuver. This Rubbermaid Roughneck trash can came in really handy for discarding scraps after pulling weeds and pruning shrubs. It’s really light weight and I could easily drag it to the front or back yard to do a little work and throw my clippings inside, and then transfer it to a dumpster later or bag it for pickup. With fall approaching, it will definitely come in handy when it comes time to rake and bag up our leaves.
As for the storage tote, my garage is completely overrun with cardboard boxes full of DIY supplies, and many of those supplies have become scattered all over the garage. I opted to get organized and store all of my painting supplies inside the tote. Now I don’t have to wander all over the garage searching for each supply.
It’s so nice to have all of my painting supplies in one spot! I really needed to organize this stuff a long time ago. I waste way too much time looking for things because they’re all over the place.

The storage totes would also come in handy for storing seasonal outdoor items like porch pillows, or even gardening supplies. I think I need about a dozen more to really get the rest of our garage under control! We’re off to a good start though.

I’ve always loved how strong rubbermaid is, I appreciate quality products like that! and so many size options, it’s rare when I can’t find one that fits an odd space I may have!
I have Rubbermaid containers in every storage nook and cranny in our home. So durable, and since they come in all shapes and sizes they fit my every need. I’m completing my craftroom makeover this week and it’s amazing how organized everything looks with the simple clear Rubbermaid containers.
Such a great idea to use these containers in a craft room! I am definitely going to have to pick up a few more to organize other spaces in our home.
