Wow, September already? How did that happen? I thought going forward it might be fun to do a little summary of projects from the previous month. In case you are new or missed some of my posts last month, here’s a run-down of what went on around here during the month of August.
1. We tried not to giggle at the title as we talked about how to strip furniture.
2. I finally refinished the library card catalog cabinet that my grandparents rescued from a vacant school building.
3. I found this awesome antique fan while shopping with a few of my fellow Atlanta bloggers.
4. I faced my fears and used a power tool for the first time.
5. My husband breathed a sigh of relief because I finally cleaned my messy garage with my new Ridgid Wet/Dry vac.
6. I shared a tutorial on how to stain furniture.
7. My boys enjoyed their brand new colored chalkboard table.
8. An old piece of furniture got a new stenciled makeover.
9. I shared several ways to tell if your furniture is real wood as opposed to veneer or laminate.
10. I stenciled a rug for our dining room and shared a tutorial on how it’s done.
There were several giveaways on the blog last month, and I hope to have more fun ones for you this month too. There’s one going on right now, so feel free to enter to win some adorable terrarium plants from Enviro-Cakes.
Also on the blog last month:
I got personal and shared a fun Q&A, answering questions from my readers.
I turned 30!
I shared a fun round-up of inspirational two-toned furniture projects.
I have a lot of fun things happening this month too, so I hope you’ll stick around. Thanks so much for reading!
Did you finish any home projects last month? Do you have lots planned for September? Did you have a milestone birthday too? Please let me know what you’re up to!

Looks like you had a good month! Isn’t it fun to look back and see all you’ve accomplished.
Thanks, Megan! Yes, it is!
August was busy around here too, mostly trying to get ready for the school year. I cannot wait for the weather to cool down here and I can really feel like it is socially acceptable to put out some pumpkins, mums, and my Fall decor. There’s just something a little wrong about a pumpkin on the front porch when it is 95 degrees outside.
LOL, Erin I know what you mean! Hopefully it will cool down soon.
Busy month, Erin! Now we’re off into a busy September… hard to believe it. 🙂

I know, Heidi! This year is flying by fast.
