I recently visited my family in Indiana, and I wanted to share this lovely corner banquette that my step-dad built at my mom’s request. Didn’t he do a great job? They plan on adding a seat cushion soon. I’m hoping to talk him into writing up a tutorial for all of you in case you want to build your own, but in the meantime I was inspired to share a round-up of pretty banquettes that have caught my eye.
Maybe one day I’ll have one in my own kitchen. Maybe I’ll even build it myself. No, seriously! Stop laughing.
Here is the eye candy:

Do you love banquettes too? Are you still laughing because I said I’d like to build one someday? Which style do you like best?
The first one is every bit as cute as all the others! They did a great job. My granny had banquette and I still love them.
They did an amazing job! Wow! And the other “inspiration” ones are nice, too, but I love the one your parent’s made!

Very nice! I’ve been thinking about building one in our bay window area in the kitchen/dining room. Not sure if I want to commit!
It is definitely a commitment, but I’m sure it’s worth it! One of these would look great in front of a bay window.
My husband and I keep considering this idea for “someday” when we make over our kitchen and breakfast room area. This is the perfect eye candy for me to pin and save! And if you build one of these yourself, you will be my hero! 😉
Thanks Laura! If I build one, it will be in the very distant future. Gotta acquire some power tool skills first! Maybe someday.
