It occurred to me after I wrote my recent post about preparing Jake to become the middle child — I’ve never shown you a complete post featuring the boys’ bedroom here at our new house! I mean, it looks pretty close to identical to their room at our old house, and I’ve shown you a few pictures here and there, but never all in one post. It’s full of all the boy room decor I created during the crazy whirlwind two weeks of HLN segment filming last year, so here you go! I’ll keep it short and sweet with tutorial links and info.
Here is a tutorial for the headboards I built along with the DIY platform toddler bed, and here is info on the striped closet plus a tutorial for how to paint striped walls. (Most of the boys’ clothes have found a home in their large dresser.) As I recently mentioned, Jake’s current bed and headboard are a mini version of Aiden’s. We’ll be swapping his toddler bed out for a twin to match big bro’s within the next week.
We’ve played around with rearranging a few things here and there, and you can rest assured that the room is not usually this clean.
Here is info on the kid’s chalkboard table and here’s the post on the adorable yellow chairs.
Here’s a tutorial for the quatrefoil photo wall art I made for above the dresser.
You can check out this post for info on everything in the room plus a full list of tutorials for the things I made (the post is the room reveal at our old house but we just transferred everything over to the new home). I had a few people who posted comments when I revealed the boys’ bedroom at our old house and they were very concerned about whether or not my boys own any toys. Haha! First of all, YES!, too many in fact. They have a fully cluttered play room down the hall. But I’ve also cleared the toy tornado out of the room in order to take pictures. I hope that clears things up. 🙂
