I have posted about this furniture project on my Facebook page and on Twitter, but I wanted to share with you what I am currently working on. We have been searching for a dresser to serve as extra storage in our office/living room, and we wanted a modern-looking piece since that is the look we are going for in that room. My husband loves clean-lined Mid Century modern style decor (think Mad Men), and this particular room is where he spends a lot of time, so we are working on creating a more modern feel in there.
I took this opportunity to work on a fun, bold statement piece. Thank you to everyone who shared color suggestions. I have painted it 3 times now (didn’t like the first 2 colors – one was too “kiddish”/electric blue, and one was too drab), but have finally found “the one.” It may not suit everyone’s taste, but I love it. It’s fun and bold, and that’s what we are going for. I can’t wait to show it to you when I’m done.

I have made a lot of progress on it, and plan on sharing the “after” photos with you next week! In the meantime, any guesses as to what color I chose as “the one”?
