It’s been a while since I did a little craft project, so I was excited to try a product I’ve actually never used before. I decided to make a DIY monogram keychain using Mod Podge Dimensional Magic.

Supply List:
- Mod Podge Dimensional Magic
- Mod Podge Gloss
- Round Charm (I used a “Blank Slate” pendant from the craft store.)
- Lobster Clasp Keychain
- Small Paintbrush
- Printed monogram letter, cut to fit your charm
How to Make a Monogram Key Chain
Step 1
First, I printed out my monogram letter and cut it to fit my round charm. I just used regular printer paper.
Step 2
Apply Mod Podge Gloss to the inside surface of your charm and the back of your monogram letter. Adhere your monogram to your charm, smoothing any bubbles with your fingernail, and allow to dry for 20+ minutes.
Step 3
After your letter has dried, apply a coat of Mod Podge Gloss to the top of it and allow to dry.
Step 4
Now comes the fun part! Pour Mod Podge Dimensional Magic on top of your monogram letter, filling up to the top of the “lip” of your charm. This is such a fun product. Dimensional Magic allows you to create faux mosaic, quilt, and other textures with added dimension. It’s formulated to dry clear, so you can see whatever you are putting it on top of.
It looks cloudy at first, but when it dries it really is crystal clear. When you’re finished, it will look like your monogram is under glass.
Step 5
Attach your lobster claw keychain to your charm, and you’re done!
