Hello! Today I’m teaming up with some other bloggers to share a fun spring home tour blog hop, and you can find the entire lineup at the end of this post. If you’re joining from the blog hop, I’m Erin, a maker and boy mom who is passionate about inspiring others to try new things and learn new skills. Welcome! Atlanta finally seems to have received the memo that spring has arrived, and we’ve been having some beautiful weather lately. With the sun shining and the temps rising, I was inspired to give our home a little spring refresh. I thought I would give you a tour of our family room and my “mom cave.”
Disclosure: This post is sponsored by Mohawk Home. All opinions are my own.
It had been a long time since I had made any changes in our family room, so the first thing I did to refresh the space, (aside from removing the spooky Halloween trees that had been living on our mantel since October, and no I’m not joking although I wish I was!), was to bring in a new rug from Mohawk Home. I opted for the Mohawk Home Prismatic Linear Pigment Rug.
I swapped out the chairs in front of the fireplace with my shibori patterned ones, which I love. They coordinate well with the indigo shibori style of the rug.
I love decorating with design books and I seem to be accumulating quite a few. Shh … don’t tell anyone that succulent on the table is fake.
You can read all about our fireplace makeover and see the before and after here.
I shared the other day that I made some updates in my “mom cave” living room/office too. Here’s what I’ve got going on in there.
You can read the story behind the card catalog I restored here.
