You all know how much I love a quick and easy project, and the one I’m sharing today is just that. I don’t usually go all out for Valentine’s Day. In fact, I hadn’t really planned on decorating at all, but then I received Duck Brand® Tape in their new Valentine’s designs and colors and I knew I had to put them to good use! They are adorable. I decided to dress up a plain glass vase and transform it into a cute Valentine vase.
Here’s what you’ll need for this Valentine’s Day craft:
- Duck Brand® Valentine’s Tape
- Scissors
- A plain glass vase
Yes – three supplies, that’s all! Check out the adorable Valentine’s designs available.
I opted to use the heart design for my vase, but any of them would be cute, even mixed. You could create stripes with the different patterns or alternate a solid color with a pattern. Vertical stripes would work too!
Start at the bottom of the vase and adhere a strip of Duck Brand® Tape all the way around the vase, then trim it.
Do this all the way up the vase, overlapping slightly. Try to begin and end your tape on the same side each time so that you will have just one side with a “seam.” Use your fingernail to smooth out all of the creases and bumps.
I decided to give my vase a little silver stripe around the top, and then I folded the excess tape over the rim.
Be sure to smooth out as many creases as possible. Add water and flowers, and you have an adorable Valentine’s Day centerpiece!
There are so many fun possibilities for this tape. You could create cute little Valentine’s Day cards, a cute banner, name cards, embellish picture frames, etc.

Will you be crafting with this tape for Valentine’s Day?

Erin, I love fast and easy decorating and this sure fits the bill! Darling. I have to get some of the Duck Tape soon! What I really want to know is… HOW did you find that gorgeous Hydranga bloom on an ice-covered day in ATL, GA!?
Thank you Kim! Found the hydrangea at Trader Joe’s! I always love their flower selection.
I love this cute project. I’ve never done a Duck Tape project and must try one soon!
