Last weekend was a busy one for me, and so much fun! As I mentioned last week, I headed to CNN Center to film a short segment for HLN on inexpensive dorm decor ideas. You can check out that segment here if you missed it.
Chris’ aunt was kind enough to go with me and help me carry all my crafty stuff, and although I was nervous, we had a lot of fun checking out the studios behind the scenes. (You’ll have to excuse all the iphone pics in this post — I didn’t even take my camera out of the bag while we were there!)
We were given a little private tour by a sweet HLN Weekend Express producer, Makenzie.
Then, I headed to hair and makeup to get “camera-ready,” and that was fun!
We were ready a bit early so we got to sit in the studio and watch Robin Meade film Morning Express live.
Finally, it was time to film my segment with Lynn Berry. She made me feel very comfortable and guided me through, and we were able to get it done in one take.
The next day, our Atlanta Bloggers’ Group had our monthly meetup at Woodstock Market, and I have to give them a major shout-out for hosting us again! They are always so kind to us, and they fed us a yummy lunch which we all appreciated. We had a great time mingling and hanging out.
I found some cute goodies while I was there.
The letters will be mounted on the wall in the boys’ room, and the elephant will probably be spray painted white and we’ll use it in the nursery.
If you live in the Atlanta area, I highly recommend checking out Woodstock Market! It’s such a fun place to explore.
It was a great weekend, and I’ve been spending this week recuperating and ignoring all of the laundry piling up and dishes in the sink. I should probably get around to doing some of that! 🙂
