I’ve written before about how different types of lighting can change the entire mood of a room, but what about the actual lamps themselves? Choosing a particular style or color of lamp has the potential to enhance a room by either blending in seamlessly with your decor, or making a bold statement. The new choose-your-color lamps from the Color+Plus lighting collection at Lamps Plus allow you to make as bold a statement as you’d like.
I love to put my own spin on my lighting choices, as I’ve done in the past with patterned shades and/or a can of spray paint. This revamped thrift store lamp is one of my favorites and it makes a statement in our guest bedroom.
I also love simple lighting choices, like this floor lamp which we scored second-hand that complements our modern office without competing with the rest of the decor.

I have a lamp obsession. I think they are the fastest, easiest way to completely change up a room. Plus, they help avoid overhead lighting which is one of my personal bugaboos.

I love the last two table lampshades – both in shades of BLUE! This will surely fit in my newly painted room which is also in blue! If only I had the talent to create my own table lampshade, then I’ll make one with a star and butterfly design, both colored in blue.

A very nice collection and I completely agree with colors in lamps. It just boosts a room. But I think you can even go further with colors. Take a look at the collection of Rowan Chase (google him); A Californian artist that started to print his (colorful) artwork on lamp shades. I love them!
