Ok friends, let’s talk about shopping. Here’s the deal: I have a love/hate relationship with Black Friday Shopping. I love the deals, but I kind of hate the process (i.e. trampling, fighting over toys/merchandise, mile-long lines, etc.). I just don’t have the patience for it. I think part of the problem is that I worked in retail from the time I was 16 years old until I graduated from college, so that ruined it for me. But, I found a happy compromise: online shopping. I’m more of a “Cyber Monday” kind of girl, but I still like to scope out the Black Friday deals too. I like online shopping since I can still get deals on items I want, and I don’t have to be trampled in the process. We all know that I’m obsessed with Target. (Who isn’t?) So I decided to scope out the store ahead of time to get an idea of what I want to track down online on Black Friday and Cyber Monday. For you braver-than-me folks, you may want to scope out deals on these items in-store when you head into the trenches on the big day.
I always love checking out the furniture, home decor and kitchen sections.
If you plan on heading to Target on Friday, I recommend checking out the Black Friday deals on their website first. It’s also a good idea to scope out the store first and know the location of the items you want to buy. You can’t just wander in on Black Friday like it’s a casual shopping trip — you have to have a mission! List in hand, locations of products noted, and a helmet and knee pads wouldn’t hurt. 😉
Here are a few of my favorite deals that I came across when I was scoping out the sales:
