Painting the Bathroom (Quickly) & HomeRight PaintStick Giveaway!

July 24, 2015 By Erin Spain 37 Comments

Disclosure: This post is in partnership with HomeRight as part of their blogger ambassador program. All opinions are my own.

I’m in the middle of making over our downstairs half bathroom, and trust me when I say it needs it. While we can’t gut the whole thing right now and start from scratch (although I would love to!), in the meantime I am doing what I can to improve it with paint and accessories. I painted the walls and I’m in the process of painting the vanity, and I’ll show you everything very soon. For now, I knocked out painting the walls super quickly — my husband even said, “you’re finished already?”. I used the HomeRight PaintStick which exponentially cuts down on painting time. The best part is you can win one! Stay tuned for a giveaway at the end of this post.

HomeRight PaintStick Review & Giveaway

The PaintStick is easy to use, you just clip the fill tube onto your paint can, insert it into the handle, pull up on the tube and it sucks the paint up into the handle. Then, you push the handle in as you need more paint on your roller, so you don’t have to keep bending over and dipping your roller in paint. (I used a similar tool for our living room which you can read about here.)

The HomeRight PaintStick will cut your painting time in half!

We started with builder beige/tan walls that looked yellowish in the light. We haven’t touched the room since we moved into the house a year and a half ago. Here is the “before” photo:

Powder bathroom before

We haven’t even hung anything on the walls! I grabbed my paint stick and painted it Benjamin Moore’s Gray Owl, lightened by 50%. I wanted to go with a light color to brighten up this tiny room.

The HomeRight PaintStick will cut your painting time in half!

It’s hard to photograph since this room gets zero natural light, but hopefully when I’m all finished making over the room I can get a better photo. It’s already lighter and brighter.

Powder Bathroom Makeover

I can’t wait to show it to you all finished in the next week or two!

HOMERIGHT PAINTSTICK GIVEAWAY!

For now, I’m so happy to share a giveaway for this HomeRight PaintStick. I know you will love it! As a busy mom, I’m all about saving time and this tool is amazing.

This actually makes painting look fun! My workshop is in my garage and it is so dull and needs new life. This paint tool will help me make that happen! Thank you for your post.

Oh my goodness, my craftroom needs redone, the office needs redone, the “master” bath (about the size of a shoe box) needs redone. I could keep going! Thank you for the chance to win!

My kitchen desperately needs to be painted. I’ve been holding off since it has 10 foot ceilings. This would make it so much easier.

I would use the paintstick on my walls in the hallway, it would give me extra reach and maybe I wouldn’t have to use a stepstool
