I thought I’d throw together a little list of Project Goals for this year – my official “to do” list, if you will. This way, not only can I have it all laid out in writing, but I have all of you to hold me accountable and make sure some of this stuff actually gets done! (Number One on my list is to get back into blogging more regularly. I’m slowly getting there.)
Let’s go room by room. Below each photo you will see my “to do” list for that individual room.
Office/Living Room:
- Buy or Make Window Treatments
- Get/make/repurpose a desk lamp
- Do something about our ugly filing cabinet (not pictured)
Dining Room:
- Window Treatments
- Wall Art
Family Room:
- Make more throw pillows
- Add some sort of decorative backing to the built-in bookcases
- Paint Walls
Basement/Playroom:
- Organize, organize, organize! (+ More storage solutions) Note: The above photo is no longer an accurate representation of the tornado that this room has become.
- Build or find a daybed to create a reading nook
- Wall Art
- Make the living area more “cozy”
Master Bedroom:
- Refinish furniture
- Do something about bedding (Make a duvet? Make pillows? Not sure.)
- Possibly make over our headboard somehow
- Reorganize sewing/work area (there is now a desk in front of the window with my sewing machine and fabric)
Guest Room: (No photos)
Ok, I owe you photos of this room. I just realized I don’t have any!
- Make window treatments
- Bedding
- Possibly raise headboard a little higher
- Maybe paint furniture
Boys’ Room:
- Transition them into twin beds and make headboards (Give them a “big boy” room!). Right now there is just a crib in here and my oldest son sleeps in the guest room.
- New (matching) bedding
- Wall Art
- Window Treatments
Screened-in Back Porch: (No photos)
- Revamp completely (we’ve done nothing so far)
- Add furniture
I have other project ideas in mind, but this is my official list. Now, where to start? I’m thinking Project “Big Boy” room is near the top of the list. Of course I’ll keep you posted!
Do you have a long “to do” list for 2013?
