Today I’m joining several of my blogging friends for a fun “Seasonal Simplicity” spring home tour blog hop. If you’re visiting from Robb Restyle, welcome! I’m Erin, a mom of 3 sweet boys living in the Atlanta suburbs and sharing my home & DIY adventures. (You can find out more about me here.) The tour has been going on all week, and you can check out the full lineup at the end of this post. I haven’t decked out our whole home for spring or anything, but I did refresh my living room “mom cave” recently so I’m sharing its new look, plus what it looked like before. I’m also sharing a few shots of the dining room, sources for items in both spaces, plus nothing says “spring” like pretty flowers so I’m throwing in some shots of those too!
I recently showed you my mom cave when I shared bloggers’ favorite sofas (including mine), and you can check out that post here. (Affiliate links are included in this post.)
Here’s a look at what the mom cave looked like before a recent refresh. I love all the color!
SHOP:
I’m working on an article for the Mohawk Home blog, so I changed things up with a new rug and swapped out the pillows. I also made the large-scale art which I shared here. I can’t decide which look I like best for this room! I might just have to periodically change things up, going back and forth between the old look and the new.
SHOP:
I haven’t done much in the dining room since I built our table (which I STILL need to share a tutorial for!), and got a new rug and chairs.
My little Jake decided to help me out with my photo shoot.
Pretty flowers are a must for spring, and tulips are one of my favorites.
Be sure to hop over to My Fabuless Life next!

Gorgeous, Erin! Tulips are my favorite too – LOVE your DIY dining table! I’m going to have to find a way to convince my hubby that I, too, need a Mom Cave.
Thanks so much, Jen! Yes, you totally need a mom cave!

Ooooh, girllll! That mom cave is fantastic! I love that you call it a “mom cave”…ha! Also, your dining room is absolutely gorgeous!

I love your mom cave and the table you built! Happy spring!
Thanks so much, Sara!
Love the pillows with the hot pink tulips! What is the beautiful paint color in your dining room?
One thing I want to suggest: Please put the name of your post in the subject line of the emails that we get as subscribers of your blog instead of just “the latest from Erin Spain.” I keep a lot of decorating emails that I receive and archive them in folders on my email. I can look back and easily find the one I am looking for based on the subject. Just a suggestion.
Hi Linda! Thanks so much for your comment. The paint color is “Nocturnal Gray” by Benjamin Moore.
As for the newsletter, the reason I don’t put the post title in the subject line is because I never send out *just* my latest post. Each newsletter has multiple posts, including archived posts, and sometimes I include 2-3 new posts in one mailing. So I have struggled with figuring out the best way to title them. In the future, if I am just including one new post, like this week, I will try to title it accordingly. But most weeks will have multiple new posts. I hope that makes sense!
Yes, I make sense. I do like that you have other posts in there that I may not have had time to read, etc. Thanks again for sharing your beautiful home!
Thank you, Linda!
Gorgeous mix of colour and pattern!! Love it! And nothing quite says spring like fresh tulips! (Sorry it took me so long to get here, we left for a spring break vacation last Friday early and just arrived home!)
