Hello friends! Just wanted to pop in and give you a quick rundown of what went on around here last month. Let’s review!
- I shared a photo of the beautiful banquette that my step-dad built, along with a round-up of lots of other pretty ones.
- My husband went to an antique shop all by himself (!!!) and picked out a cool vintage camera for my birthday.
- We scored a Mid-Century style desk on Craigslist for our living room/office.
- I created a Framed Family Sign using Martha Stewart glass paint.
- I made a DIY Halloween Chalkboard Bottle by repurposing an old glass bottle, painting it with chalkboard paint and writing a spooky message in honor of Halloween. (Ok, so the message wasn’t that spooky, but you get the idea.)
- I played around with the Martha Stewart glass paint and stencils again and made a simple DIY Halloween Candy Jar.
- Ok, one more glass paint project: I created a Monogrammed Hurricane Candle Holder, again using glass paint and stencils. (I seriously can’t get enough of those!)
- I turned some cloth napkins found on clearance at Target into a pretty throw pillow and shared the tutorial.
- I sewed for the first time!
- I made some simple and free vase filler for Fall using gilded pine cones.
Also on the blog last month:
- I shared our (mis)adventure of dealing with our sweet dog post-surgery. (She’s doing much better now!)
- A lucky blog reader scored a Ryobi Combo Kit.
- I rounded up some pretty Fall Wreaths for inspiration.
If you haven’t already, please be sure to enter the Singer Sewing Machine Giveaway going on now! One lucky blog reader will win a Singer One Sewing Machine – the same machine I have (and love!).
Hope you all have a wonderful week!
