I hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend! We had a great few days with family and friends, and we also celebrated my son’s 4th birthday. As I have mentioned before, we had a Super Hero birthday party, and it was so much fun! All of his little buddies showed up dressed as Super Heroes. They were so cute. And Aiden had a wonderful day. I wish I could say I had tons of pictures to share, but I was so busy and having so much fun that I didn’t take nearly as many photos as I wish I had. I will share a few snapshots with you though!
Here is the party table which was located inside the pool house. (Just to recap, we have a pool house but no pool. It just serves as some extra space for us, which we definitely appreciate!) It was the perfect party place. I made the banner hanging on the window, which says “Happy 4th Birthday Aiden,” and is made out of comic book pages. (More on this later.)
Here is the adorable Batman cake, courtesy of the Publix bakery. (This is a shot from above, but that is Batman riding on his Batcycle.) Long story short, I attempted to bake his cake. I had big plans for it – it was going to be great. Two layers, Spider-Man webs on it, the works. BAD IDEA. If you missed it on Twitter, cake-baking and I do not get along. The frosting turned out great – the cake fell apart. I frantically called Publix bakery at 10pm the night before the party and the nice man who answered agreed to have a Super Hero cake ready by morning. Thank you, thank you, thank you, nice bakery man!
The kids enjoyed the Superman phone booth!
