I’m looking forward to Thanksgiving this year for so many reasons. Not only because it’s a great time to reflect and focus on all of the wonderful things we have to be thankful for in our lives, and not just because of the amazing food, but because it will be a rare chance to spend time with my family who live far away. My entire family and many of my friends live in Indiana, so we don’t get to see them often. My husband and I alternate which side of the family (mine or his) we spend the holiday with each year, and this year we will be spending it with mine. I get to snuggle with my sweet nephew and meet my new baby niece for the first time. I get to see my siblings, parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins, all of whom I grew up living near in the same town but now only see a couple times a year.
Since it is such a special occasion, it’s fun to think about it from an entertaining perspective. I will be helping my mom host our entire extended family, and one of my favorite places for inspiration and decor is Target. Normally everyone pitches in and brings a dish, so I’ll be looking forward to my grandma’s banana pudding (hint, hint). She’s probably not reading this, but maybe someone will pass that hint along. 😉 I haven’t decided yet what I will be making, but I definitely know where to go if I want to serve it in style. Check out these beautiful, stylish platters from Target. I love the geometric pattern along the edge.
I’m thinking the Thanksgiving turkey would look great displayed on that large white platter pictured above. And I love the vibrant teal and green colors too.
Now, as much as I love my family, I think we can all agree that we will need some wine. This ombre glassware would be a fun addition to the party. These would be pretty for any holiday party. They’re very modern and glitzy.
Target also has beautiful textiles for the holidays, like these pretty metallic napkins. Who doesn’t like a little bling?
