I’ve been planning for entirely too long to organize our mess of a pantry. Everything is tossed in there haphazardly, and food gets stale sometimes because we forget it’s in there. What a waste! While I’m in the process of getting organized, I was given the opportunity to try a new product called FreshTape. FreshTape keeps your snacks fresh, and it comes in many different colors and styles.
Here’s the situation we were dealing with before:
Yes, we were using clothes pins and binder clips to seal our chips. Not exactly the best way to keep things fresh.
Here is the FreshTape:
Ahh, much better.
FreshTape is recyclable, BPA-free, American-made, and made safe according to FDA standards. You can open and re-close your food easily, and food stays fresher longer, plus it comes in lots of colors and prints! You can use it on chips, cereal bags, frozen food bags, and really any bagged/packaged food or snack. FreshTape was created by two women, Liz and Laura, who were tired of stale or freezer burned food. Basic chip clips just weren’t cutting it. They wanted to create a better way to keep food fresh. I’m very happy with it so far! It definitely keeps our chip bags sealed much better than a clothes pin or chip clip, and I’ve been able to open and re-seal them several times.
Here’s a little sample of the different styles available:
I especially love the geometric prints. Check out FreshTape online for more information or to purchase them. You can also connect with them on Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter, or the FreshTape Blog.
Now, please excuse me while I go clean out my pantry! How do you seal your snack bags? Chip clips? Clothes pins? And which style of FreshTape is your favorite? Do tell!

Can you reuse it on another bag once you have finished using it on the first one? How long does it last?
Erin @ DIY on the Cheap says
Yes, you can reuse it on another bag. Not sure how long it will last since mine are still going strong after a couple of weeks, but my guess is a few weeks or so. It really depends on how often you open and close the bag. I’ve opened mine several times and they are still re-sealing.
