DIY Halloween Candy Jar

September 14, 2012 By Erin Spain 4 Comments

This was a quick, fun and easy project I worked on recently and wanted to share. I posted the other day about the new Martha Stewart Crafts Glass Paint, and this was another fun project using products from that line. This is a super easy DIY Halloween Candy Jar.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Glass jar
  • Halloween Candy (I used Reese’s Pieces, but Candy Corn would work great too.)
  • Martha Stewart Metallic Glass Paint in Black Nickel
  • Letter Stencils
  • Paint Dauber

This seriously takes no time at all. Simply line up your stencils to spell whatever spooky word you’d like. I used “BOO” since my jar wasn’t very wide. Dot the paint on with a Martha Stewart paint dauber. Remove the stencils immediately while paint is still wet.

Allow to dry. That’s it! It seriously doesn’t get any easier than this.

Thank you for the great idea! We have done these many times during the holidays, but your Halloween candy jar was too cute to pass up.
