Thank you Logitech for sponsoring this post. Get whole home security with the Circle 2 security camera!
Being a blogger and someone who shares a large portion of my life publicly online, I am especially aware of the need to keep our family safe in whatever way I can. I recently installed the Logitech Circle 2 security camera outside our home, and not only does it give me peace of mind, but it is just such a cool device. This camera can be used indoors or outdoors, is weatherproof, can be purchased Wired or Wire-Free, and is 1080p HD. It uses night vision to record when motion is detected and has up to a 180 degree field of view. Most importantly, it gives us access to view what’s going on outside our home anytime we want.
The Logitech Circle 2 is super easy to install and it stores video footage in your own personal cloud. The first thing I did was plug the camera in to charge and then downloaded the app. The app takes just a minute to set up and the instructions are super easy to follow. You just set up an account and you’re good to go.
After the camera was charged and I had set everything up in the app (which literally just took a minute), I mounted it outside our garage.
I love that you can get smart alerts sent to your phone no matter where you are. Now I can know what’s going on at our home even when we’re not there, which definitely gives me peace of mind. There’s also a “smart location” feature which automatically detects when you leave or arrive home, and can be programmed to send you alerts when you’re away and pause when you’re home.
If there is suspicious activity detected, you can take action within the Logi Circle app. There’s a “talk and listen” feature that can be used to deter possible intruders, and you can also take a snapshot or download video footage. I also like that there is a unique identification process to ensure that you are digitally secure, since footage is stored using double layer encryption for added security and protection. You can easily navigate to specific times of day when you want to see the saved footage, or you can get a “day brief” summary of the day’s activity. Every Circle 2 comes with 24 hours of free secure, bank-level encrypted cloud storage, and if you want more storage options, then there are two Circle Safe™ plans available.
I tested out the Logitech Circle 2 to see what would happen if a suspicious person tried to break in. I was able to see exactly what was going on outside our house, and I practiced using some of the features, including “talk and listen” and taking snapshots. First, I received a notification on my phone that a person was likely detected in our driveway. Sure enough, it captured footage of a couple of suspicious characters attempting to break into our van. (Funny, these characters look strikingly like my son Jake and his neighbor friend! Ha.)
Overall this camera is super easy to install and use, and I love that even when I’m away from home, I can still keep tabs on what’s going on there. Also, even though we live in a safe community, there have been reports of car break-ins in our neighborhood, so this will also come in handy to keep an eye on our vehicles at night as we have to park in the driveway since our garage serves as my workshop.

I like the wireless feature. Since we’re renting, I don’t want to have to modify the house too much to install cameras.
