Mason Jar Lid Gift Tags

Mason Jar Lid Gift Tags

Ok, are we tired of mason jar lids yet? I know that I’ve bombarded the blog with them lately, but I promise this is the last time for a while! It’s just that one idea led to another, which led to another. But now I’m done. Today I am sharing my Mason Jar Lid Gift Tags. If you have some last minute gifts to wrap, this is an easy way to add a personal touch.

What you’ll need:

  • Printer (or really neat handwriting)
  • Paper
  • Mason Jar Lid
  • Hammer
  • Nail
  • Mod Podge
  • Thread, twine or thin ribbon

I followed the same process as with my Mason Jar Lid Ornaments, but I typed and printed the label, then cut it out and adhered it to my mason jar lid with Mod Podge. Hammer a nail into one edge of the lid, creating a small hole. Apply a thin layer of Mod Podge to the lid, adhere your label and allow to dry for about 15 minutes. Apply another thin layer of Mod Podge on top, and you’re done! Just thread some thin ribbon or twine through the hole and tie the gift tag to your package.

Do you create your own gift tags, or just go with the peel and stick? (I’m usually a peel and stick kind of girl, but I thought I’d get a little creative this time.)

Soo cute!! I’m always adding tags but I’m about to just start writing on them instead. 😉

That’s cute. And the tag can be used as ornaments next Christmas!

Thank you! Yes, it could definitely double as an ornament, and it’s very easy to make. Happy Holidays to you, Busola!

[…] This project cost me nothing. I had everything on hand. This would be a great use for wrapping paper scraps that you plan on throwing away, or you could use leftover scrapbook paper, or even old gift bags. You can also check out my mason jar lid garland and mason jar lid gift tags! […]
