I was lucky enough to take a recent girls’ weekend trip to Savannah, GA, and we had so much fun! It was a much needed getaway for four of us moms, and we packed in quite a bit over those two and a half days. And good news, all of our hubbies and children survived with minimal house destruction! I am going to break up the posts into two days. We’ll get to sightseeing tomorrow, but today let’s start with shopping. There were so many cute little shops around town, and I wanted to share some shots of two of my favorite boutiques. Hope you enjoy!

This was another favorite shop, The Paris Market. There were so many cool home items here. In fact, the rest of the photos in this post are from this shop. There was lots of eye candy! |

Ginormous pine cones! I don’t think I’ve ever seen any this big in my life. It’s hard to tell the actual size in the photo, but they were huge. |

There were some amazing chandeliers here, and we noticed a trend around town of chandeliers made out of oyster shells. They were beautiful! |
Here are a few other pretty chandeliers:
And some more photos of the downstairs part of the shop:
Ok, this wasn’t spotted at a shop, but I was in love with these shutters (?) doors (?) (whatever they are), which were propped against a house we walked by while exploring. My friend Erica thought they would make an awesome headboard.
Check back tomorrow for Part 2 of our trip. I recently posted about our family trip to Charleston and how I loved the history and architecture, and Savannah is similar in that respect. I really enjoyed the beautiful buildings and hearing about the history of the city.
Have you ever been to Savannah? What is your favorite thing about it?
I adore the large blue doors! When in Nicaragua I took many many photos of doors:)
Savannah is less than 4hrs away and we have never been:(
Ohh you have to make the trip! You could do it in a weekend! It’s so worth it.
Oh my gosh, those lights! Unbelievable. It’s like shopping in heaven. 😉
Oh it was totally heaven! If those lights weren’t crazy expensive, I would’ve snagged one. Loved them.
Hi! again I like to thank you… you ate bringing me back to Dec. 2009.
it was the trip of my life…the most incredible week ever…!
I remember walking along the pier, while enjoying some delicious flavored coffee. Having dinner a Paula Deen’s Restaurant…. and just having the most unforgetable time of my lifetime…. thank you for bringing me back to those days…!
I’m so glad I could bring back fun memories for you! I hope you’ll be able to visit Savannah again sometime. It’s a very special place!
How fun and what an awesome shop! I love the exposed brick walls — think I could spend a whole day in there. 🙂
xo Heidi
Heidi, I could’ve totally spent an entire day in there too! I had to drag myself away since there was so much to see around the city. Loved this shop though.
