I was perusing Hobby Lobby the other day, as I often do, and I came across the most adorable teeny tiny kid’s Eames style chair. It was marked down to $27.99 and it is identical to one that I just ordered (in a grownup size) for our bedroom desk, but ours is clear. Naturally, Jonah had to have it.
Before we know it, we will be transitioning his precious nursery that I worked so hard on into a toddler room. He’s turning one on November 25 — I can’t believe it! Where has the time gone? His big brothers already have some cute kid’s chairs (as seen here with the art table I recently made over), so I thought he needed one of his own that’s a little bit more his size. Plus I was just dying over the cuteness of it.
His daddy is jealous because he wants one just like it for his desk — he loves Eames furniture. And to answer your question, yes, Jonah’s hair is always like that. It’s his natural baby mohawk and I will be so sad when it doesn’t stick straight up anymore. It’s become his signature look. (If you follow me on Instagram then you get to see peeks at him once in a while.)
If you want a chair like this and can’t find one at Hobby Lobby (there was only one left at ours), I found one like it here. It comes in a variety of colors. And here is the grownup version! I love mixing decor and furniture styles — mid-century with traditional, feminine with masculine — it’s all about balance.
