I know things are crazy right now and I hope you’re all staying healthy (and sane). I’m trying to maintain as much normalcy as I possibly can while in quarantine, but it isn’t easy. Last week I stopped by our townhouse to check on the progress and I shot some quick photos while I was there. (They aren’t good quality, but I promise when the renovation is done I will take better pictures to share with you!) If you missed my previous posts about this renovation, you can check those out here and here. If you’re just now joining me, long story short: we’ve owned a townhouse for many years that we rent out. We are now renovating it to sell, but due to location and timeframe we have hired contractors to do the work. I’m still sharing the process with you.
The contractors have made progress painting, laying the floors, and demo-ing the bathrooms.
Here is the current state of the family room:
Here is the entryway area where you can see the unfinished stairs and the half bathroom that has been demoed and flooring has been replaced.
Here is the upstairs hallway:
This is the upstairs hall bathroom. I wish we could demo the vanity too but there were certain things we had to keep as is due to our budget. I may go in and refinish the countertop with some countertop epoxy and paint the vanity light gray.
Here’s the master bedroom:
And here’s the master bathroom which will be getting a new vanity. The tile still needs grout:
I wish we could afford to do a full gut job including the kitchen, but we just couldn’t do it all. It will still be a dramatic before and after though. I’ll keep you updated! Be sure to connect with me on Instagram where I share a lot of behind the scenes stuff in my stories.
